In-home personal training
With little equipment, we can give you a good workout at home–strength training, cardiovascular work outs, yoga, pilates, and massage.
Yoga – private or small group
We teach beginners as well as experienced yogis. We guide students through yoga poses (asanas), flows (vinyasas), breathing, and meditation techniques.
Enjoy the great outdoors
In New York, Central Park is a great place to work out any time of year. Running, cycling, Roller Blading, strength training, agility and speed training, jumping rope, and even stretching and yoga can be performed while enjoying the clean and beautiful reprieve from the asphalt jungle. Snow? No problem. You can work out outside all year round.
Sports specific training
Do you want to enjoy an injury-free ski or snowboarding season, improve your power and endurance on the bike, or train for a 5k or marathon? How about getting more air in your jump shots, 18 holes of golf without back pain, a more powerful back swing, a right hook for TKO, or impress your friends on the next white water rafting trip? We have trainers who have knowledge and experience with the mechanics of these and other sports and will train you to improve your performance and prevent common injuries.
One on one and small group running, cycling, and triathlon coaching
We offer road and off-road run and bike coaching. We provide customized programs, teach skills, and help you achieve your running, cycling, and triathlon goals.
Post rehabilitation
If you’ve recently suffered an injury or are recovering from surgery, and have completed rehabilitation therapy, we can get you on a solid, structured program to bring you back to wellness and balance. We’ll address the injury by strengthening and stretching the areas around the injury. We’ll train the whole body to function with balance, symmetry, and appropriate range of motion. With your permission, your trainer will communicate with your doctor and/or rehabilitation therapist to guide you through the proper exercises that will help you enjoy the highest quality of life through gentle and effective physically activity. You can prevent injury in the future.
Telephone/email coaching
For people who can’t commit to the regular one-on-one personal contact, we can provide coaching by phone and email to discuss your health and fitness goals, challenges, questions and concerns. We can email you weekly training programs and follow-up with discussions on your progress. This is a good complement to personal training and coaching as well.
Group fitness
It can be fun and economical to train with a partner or a small group of people. We’ll show you ways to work out together and motivate each other. If you have 4 or more people and a large enough space, we can organize a class to fit your goals.
Eating habits
We can help guide you toward balanced and healthy eating. We have Registered Dieticians who can go grocery shopping with you, teach you how to read labels, and offer healthy and fun menu options and cooking suggestions; as well as address dietary needs related to health issues and medications.
Weight loss
With a healthy and balanced “diet” and consistent exercise, we can help you lose up to 3 lbs per week. Most people simply need education, guidance, motivation, and support. We’ll help keep you on track to achieve your weight loss goals.
Strength and Conditioning for the Young Athlete
Children’s athletics is very competitive. Kids need strength training to improve performance and prevent injury. Athletes as young as eight years old can safely develop strength, coordination, speed, agility, and flexibility. We make it fun too.
